When Price came to the Scott Valley area from Southern California, he was using a walker, diabetic and struggling with high cholesterol. He was on medication for both.
For many people using a walker would be a deterrent from joining the gym; however, Price didn’t let the handicap get in his way. He was determined to get his health back, and he has!
When I asked Price what his regular regimen is he shared, “I come to the gym 5-6 days a week. At the beginning, I would ride the recumbent bike for 10 minutes and use the weight machines to build strength.
I’m now able to ride for 30 minutes!”
Today Price is feeling much better, and is not only off the walker, but also off his medications. He is 50 pounds lighter, and walks without the assistance of a walker or a cane.
